Our children interact with many systems — healthcare providers, schools, community partners, and more but their daily experiences are seamless to them. Children need teams that work together, considering their entire well-being. Each team member plays a crucial role.
In an ideal world, every provider would have all the necessary training and information, and every appointment would be long enough to address all concerns. However, reality often falls short, so we must find ways to ensure that everyone involved in a child’s care is on the same page and working toward the same vision.
In this issue of PIO, we explore the Complex Care Network as an example of how a collaborative approach can make a significant difference for children with complex medical needs and their families.
