Administrative Support for the Council

Parent Information Center/NH Family Voices

This 15-hour per week position will provide administrative support to the Council for Youths with Chronic Conditions (CYCC) in alignment with 126-J. This position requires availability for evening meetings, and occasional weekend events. This position is an employee and under the supervision of the Parent Information Center and NH Family Voices.

The CYCC is an advisory council to the departments of health and human services, education and insurance, charged with promoting the organized assessment of the needs of youths with chronic conditions and their families, collaborating with the departments to enhance community-based family supports that meet the unique needs of youths with chronic conditions and their families, and increasing awareness in the public and private sector of the medical, social, and educational issues which impact youths with chronic conditions and their families. 

Qualifications/ Requirements:

  • Lived experience (a desired skill, but not required)
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills.
  • Experience working with stakeholder groups.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Good organizational and time management skills.
  • Self- directed and motivated.
  • Ability to work independently and as a member of team.
  • Experience with virtual platforms such as Zoom, google meet, etc.
  • Skilled in use of Microsoft Office and other technologies

Essential functions:

  • Ensure that CYCC meetings are organized, publicized, convened and documented in compliance with RSA 91-A
  • Support CYCC Chair in facilitating meetings as necessary
  • Attend events as identified to promote CYCC, connect with community, and gather information regarding needs of children and youth with special health care needs
  • Assist with creation of materials to promote awareness of children and youth with chronic health conditions
  • Assist in the organization of CYCC events to promote awareness
  • Perform other appropriate tasks as assigned that further the work of CYCC; to include, but not limited to, assisting in member engagement and strategic planning
  • Attend CYCC meetings, including subcommittees, to support seamless operations of the CYCC
  • Work with the Council Leadership to ensure that appropriate documentation, communication is posted on website and social media
  • Ensure that records of council activities are maintained through Google Workspace of other platform identified by the Executive Committee
  • Ensure that family member stipends, reimbursement expenses are processed appropriately
  • Supports CYCC participation in relevant initiatives through communication with council membership, state agencies and other identified stakeholders

Typical Work Schedule: 

This position is a hybrid (remote and in-office) position located in Concord, NH

Educational Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Human Services, Communications or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
