Camps Bernadette & Fatima

Camp Fatima reserves a few weeks each summer to provide a fabulous camp experience to campers with special needs.

Special Needs Week is a co-ed program offered at Camp Fatima to provide a traditional camping experience to campers ages 9+ who have mild to moderate mental disabilities. The camper to staff ratio is four-to-one to ensure close, personal attention. The daily program is designed to help campers make new friends, enjoy outdoor activities, develop new skills and build self-confidence. Campers must be able to dress, eat, toilet and provide personal care for themselves with minimal supervision; walk unassisted; and be able to communicate his or her daily needs to the staff.

Exceptional Citizens’ Week (EC Week) at Camp Fatima is a co‐ed, one week camp for children and adults ages 9+ with intellectual and/or physical challenges. Each camper receives one‐to‐one care and experiences a week of horseback riding, swimming, boating, arts and crafts, and many more special events that they otherwise may not be able to enjoy. The 300+ dedicated volunteers and many generous donors allow EC Week to offer this great week to over 170 campers at no cost to campers’ families and caregivers. The camp is wheelchair accessible and provides an on-site healthcare team.
