Young Adult Mental Health Trainings

April 16, 2025

Thank you for your interest in participating in these Young Adult Mental Health trainings. These trainings are presented by members of the NH Young Adult Advisory Council, a group of young adults with the shared mission of improving the well-being of young adults across New Hampshire.
In this training, you can expect the following:

AFSP It's Real: This program raises awareness about mental health issues commonly experienced by young adults. Participants will learn how to start a conversation about mental health, the importance of self-care, and how to reach out for help.
A.I.D. Suicide Prevention Training: This training teaches participants how to interact effectively with someone experiencing mental distress using three steps -- awareness, interaction, and direction. This training also includes education on mental health resources, practicing the A.I.D. action plan, reducing stigma about mental illness and substance use, and promoting self-care.
