Over the past few months, we have taken the opportunity to connect virtually with families around the globe. We have met with folks in the United Kingdom, Arizona, Missouri, Florida, and our home state of Massachusetts, to name a few. Several FRAXA researchers have joined in too! Dr. Carol Wilkinson from Boston Children’s Hospital, joined one of our happy hours to say hello and answer questions about her current work. It was great for her to meet family members who are impacted by her research but live outside of the Boston area.
One thing we like about going virtual is meeting and connecting with families everywhere! We share stories about our family members with Fragile X, discuss the challenges we have been facing at home, and spent time getting to know one another. It has been a bright light during this time of upheaval to virtually meet so many passionate and dedicated families.
We truly enjoy meeting new families and reconnecting with longtime supporters. Please join us soon!
