This coffee will examine how occupational therapists (OT) can utilize principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) to enhance evidence-based practice. Understanding the principles of ABA for data collection can assist OTs in making decisions about programming and the effectiveness of treatment. In this workshop therapists will learn basic concepts of ABA, understand the function of behavior, briefly examine behavior vs. sensory, have an introduction to multidisciplinary evaluations/screenings including VB-MAPP and FAST. Therapists will have the opportunity to practice setting up data plans for goals.
