Please read the Bio of our very special guest Terri Rupp below:
Terri Rupp
Terri may have a closet full of shoes like any other mom in the suburbs, but she is most definitely not your average mom next door. As the author of the blog Blind Mom in the Burbs, Terri has shared for over a decade about her trials, triumphs, tears, and travels as a stay-at-home mom in the suburbs of Sin City. When asked the common question, “What do you do?” She often laughs as she replies, “What do I not do?”
Being given the security and opportunity to not have to work and stay home to raise her two children, Terri doesn’t let a single moment go to waste. She currently serves on the Board of Directors of the National Federation of the Blind, National Braille Press, Blind Inc., and as the President of the National Federation of the Blind of Nevada.
Some may ask how one woman finds balance as a wife, mom, and leader in the blindness community. Terri’s balance is found through her love of the outdoors. From camping, hiking, biking, to running distances of 100 miles just for fun. You’ll see her smiling every step of the way as she breezes by and says,” It’s not about how fast or far you go. It’s about how much fun you’re having, and who you’ve got by your side.
