Attention Self-Advocates!
The Lakes Region Community Services Self-Advocate Council is meeting on the second Thursday of each month.
Our August Meeting is on Thursday, August 14th.
Understanding that everyone has busy schedules, we are pleased to offer two opportunities to join the fun the meeting!
The first time is at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 14th at the LRCS Laconia office. Please RSVP and let us know if you will be joining us and eating pizza.
The second time is at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 14th on Zoom. Please RSVP for the Zoom link.

What is the LRCS Self-Advocate Council?
The LRCS Self-Advocate Council is a volunteer group of self-advocates that meets monthly at Lakes Region Community Services. The purpose is to provide feedback to LRCS about the quality of services, offer learning and training opportunities, educational and social events and assist our self-advocates in using their voice to effect change in Concord and beyond.
If you or a loved one is a person who experiences an intellectual or developmental disability or a traumatic brain injury and receives services through LRCS, then this is the group for you!
Perhaps you would like to grow your leadership and advocacy skills, strengthen your voice, build new relationships, attend a workshop or training that is important to you, then this is the group for you!
Maybe you would like to be part of the leadership team of the council and help to decide it’s mission, goals and activities for those served by LRCS, then this is the group for you!
This is a self-advocate/individual led council that is supported by LRCS staff member, Carrie Duran, Advocacy and Community Engagement Coordinator. Please email Carrie at carrie.duran@lrcs.org for more information.
