The term “visual support” refers to a wide array of visible objects, gestures, photographs, symbols or words used to increase an individual’s ability to successfully engage in daily demands. Among other objectives, these supports can be utilized to expand expressive communication, facilitate task completion, help to manage difficult behaviors or aid in learning new information.
