Appy Hour is a fast-paced sharing of iOS (Apple) apps. This session provides an overview of app options within targeted categories, but is not a substitute for in-depth training on specific apps. A brief overview of assistive technology assessment and evaluating apps will also be covered. Targeted areas will be: executive function; social cognition/ pragmatics; self-regulation; and written communication. Other category options: augmentative and alternative communication; motor skills; Arts education; learning to read; reading to learn; STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics); recreational/leisure; life skills; and teacher tools.
