Accessible Black Lives Matter Protest!
June 26, 2020 –
A small group of disabled activists is coming together to create an accessible Black Lives Matter Protest for the disabled community and allies. We are passionate about this movement and want everyone to be able to exercise their right to advocate for the causes they believe in. EVERYONE (disabled folks and allies and any other supporters of BLM!) is welcome to join in.
There will be ASL interpreters and a wheelchair-friendly march route. Social distancing in the assembly area is expected, as is wearing a mask. We ask that only those with service animals bring their pets to this event.
We will be live-streaming the speakers at the event for anyone who is unable to attend in person. A link to the live stream will be posted on this event page on the day of the event.
If you are interested in donating supplies (water, snacks, earplugs) or helping with setup, please DM Juliana Good. We hope to see lots of people there!
