What Makes Ryan Tick? A Family’s Triumph over Tourette Syndrome and Attention Deficiency Hyperactivity Disorder

This story is mother’s account of her bewilderment at her son’s frightening and violent outbursts, to enlightenment , and ultimately to advocacy, as she confronts uninformed or uncaring “experts” from the medical and educational professions. It depicts the adolescent years of her son with Tourette syndrome and ADHD- includes his placement in a residential facility, successful medical management and eventual homecoming.
