Strengthening Fine Motor Skills

Engage students with simple pop-up booklets and fascinating mazes while boosting fine motor skills and reinforcing the alphabet or other language arts concepts.  Begin with the 26 skill-practice pop-up pages.  While reviewing the letters A-Z or specific words, students focus on pencil control, letter formation, writing, cutting, and pasting skills.  For the maze activities, students work their way through winding paths.  They must write in a letter, numeral, word, or math fact at each stop along the way. Each open-ended maze allows the teacher to target specific skills for practice.  Reproducible.
