Transition Initiatives Coordinator
Ansley graduated from Maine Maritime Academy with a BS in Marine Transportation Operations (Deck) in 2007. After traveling the world as a ship’s officer, she became a full-time stepmom to her wonderful step-daughter, Rowan, while also tutoring and substitute teaching for Fort Worth ISD. Ansley and her family returned to New England and chose NH to call home when Rowan entered high school. Growing up disabled, Ansley experienced the need for advocacy throughout her life. She learned the power of using one’s voice to affect systems change through the NH Leadership Series, Class of 2019. Ansley was a Family Support Coordinator for the Partners in Health Program before becoming the Transition Initiatives Coordinator for NH Family Voices and Parent Information Center. In this role, she helps empower youth through the YEAH Council, IMPACT Academy (GSIL), and works on the Youth Health Care Transition Services Project.
In her free time, Ansley enjoys spending time in the woods with her service dog, Ishka, and supporting her community. She can be reached at ajp@nhfv.org.
