Description
This free workshop covers parents and educators partnering in the education process and creating successful transitions together. Families, school personnel and community members will learn the aspects of transition planning, including discussion about diploma and certificate options, guardianship, and the steps necessary for planning measurable post- secondary goals. This workshop provides participants with an overview of the transition requirements in the IEP, including strategies they can use for effective transition planning. Through a fun, hands-on activity, workshop participants are encouraged to think about and prepare for their child’s future. Participants have the opportunity to share ideas, resources and strategize with each other. Pre-Registration is required.
