In order to support the academic, social-emotional, and behavioral growth and development of all students in the General Education Classroom, teachers need to use high leverage, Evidence-Based practices. This 3–day, intensive workshop will provide General and Specialized educators with a variety of Evidence-Based classroom methodologies to engage all students in a vibrant and safe learning environment. Participants will experience learning through Evidence-Based methods and will reflect on their experiences as they work to develop their own repertoire of tools and strategies to engage their own students.
PARTICIPANT OUTCOMES
Understand what is meant by Evidence-Based Instruction
Learn the instructional practices with the “highest effect” according to education researchers John Hattie and Robert Marzano
Experience and reflect on learning in a classroom using Evidence-Based methodologies
Understand and apply the constructs of Universal Design for Learning (UDL), Differentiated Instruction (DI), and Collaborative Problem Based Learning (CPBL)
