Chronic Illness
Family Junction - Monthly social gatherings at the McConnell Center - Second Wednesday of the Month starting October 13, 2010 - Time: 6:00—7:30 pm
Join us on the second Wednesday of the month for a social gathering at our new home at the McConnell Center in Dover. Starting October 13, we will be offering a monthly youth
social and parent support group. These gatherings are open for families who have a child with a chronic medical condition who can participate in low key activities (games, art-
focused) in a group setting. The goal is for families to generate relationships with other children and adults who understand exactly what they are dealing with on a daily basis;
when a child has a chronic health condition it affects the entire family in so many ways.
Children ages 6-13 have a chance to hang out together, to connect with their peers, and to play games. Siblings in the same age group are welcome to join. Program staff and
trained volunteers will be supervising the children’s activities in close proximity to the parent support group. Food and beverages will be provided. The fee is $3 per person, not
to exceed $10 for a family of four or more. However, this fee should not prohibit anyone from joining our program. Please contact us for more information. Please contact us if you
have questions about this opportunity being a good fit for your family. Families are asked to RSVP at info@zebra-crossings.org.
