Saturday Explorers is a “traveling playgroup” for young children with Down syndrome and their families. We meet on the first Saturday of every month to play, socialize, and explore what New Hampshire has to offer! Some months are spent at our “home base” having a quieter playgroup, and other months are spent on family outings around the state!
Saturday Explorers was created by two moms of little boys who have Down syndrome. After their boys were born, they realized that there was a shortage of activities and support for children with Down syndrome and their families in their local area. They decided to create a playgroup where children could come together to socialize, and parents could meet other parents who have experience raising a child with Down syndrome.
There are currently two Saturday Explorer groups, one in the Monadnock Region and one in South New Hampshire.
Saturday Explorers welcomes children of all ages, as well as expectant parents. We look forward to seeing you on our next adventure! For more information contact NNEDSC by email: firstname.lastname@example.org or by phone: (603) 479-1589.
