Finding Hope in Despair

One of the most difficult challenges faced by infant mental health professionals is that not all cases have a happy ending. This book presents a series of detailed case studies of interventions that were NOT successful – each one has the facts of the case, and even more important – reflections on the feelings generated by the failure of the intervention. The case is then followed by analysis by another clinician with summary of challenges, obstacles and what can be learned.
