When providing care to another person, it can be challenging to know how to support personal preferences, care needs, and our own busy and often intense lives. During this workshop, we will explore tools you can use to collect, organize and prioritize important information about another individual. You will also gain skills to support important conversations with your care partner about their desires, so that care can be provided according to their wishes. We will discuss why this kind of information is important, how it can support better health outcomes, and how it can help us to balance the challenges of caregiving with other equally important responsibilities. The goal of this training is for you, the caregiver, to leave with tools you can use, and the skills to know when and how to use them to support your care partner.
