Parent Leadership for CHANGE
June 2, 2018 –
We invite YOU to participate in a Free Training for parent leaders of children with disabilities organized by the Parent Information Center on Special Education and Boston University.
The training will provide you with more in-depth knowledge about IDEA and advocacy skills for YOU to communicate with legislators and influence CHANGE in the IDEA.
In addition to participating in this training, we hope participants will:
• Participate in a focus group to share concerns about special education and the IDEA.
• Complete three surveys to document the effectiveness of the training.
• Create a written or verbal testimony about your concerns and suggestions for CHANGE in the IDEA (Optional videotaped testimony- 3 minutes).
Your participation is voluntary and your responses will be kept confidential.
